One more masterpiece outta France. The typical no-wave fury of La Grande Triple Alliance Internationale De l'Est gets over some smoky dark funk grooves. Like Pop Group, Gang Of Four or PiL, Funk Police steals black rhythms from an hypothetical rainforest and hurl them into their concrete jungle. Throbbing bass, sharp upbeat guitars and schizoid vocals over the haunting tribal drums. Ten damp tracks on black vinyl with stunning artwork!

Father Murphy - Anyway Your Children Will Deny It LP (Aagoo) 13€
With their third studio album, Father Murphy finally come and tell Apocalypse and Apocatastasis. Mixed and mastered by Greg Saunier of Deerhoof, their black universe of primitive holyness keeps faith to the severity of biblical nihilism adding shades of destructive finalism: from sinister melancholy to harsh cave sounds and yells. Organ, detuned guitar bathed into reverb, funeral percussions as evil, and little bells, keyboards, boy/girl chanting. Their best album to date!
Cannibal Movie - Avorio LP (Sound of Cobra) 13€

Incredibly promising debut release from Italian organ and drums duo, Cannibal Movie deal in heavy hypno-psych pound, with plenty of ability to conjure suspense and swing no less. It’s as if Religious Knives went batshit crazy, ate their guitarist, and continued on as a band. Remastered and repressed with a brand new artwork designed by Virginia Genta of Troglosound. Lmtd edition of 300.
Rella The Woodcutter - The Golden Undertow LP (Boring Machines) 12€

Horrid Red - Celestial Joy LP (Holidays) 12€
Horrid Red was born as an offshot project by Edmund Xavier and Bunker Wolf of Teenage Panzerkorps exploring the arcane aspects of post-punk and new wave. As from the title, Celestial Joy is a step away from the depressive synth punk of their first releases. Instead, there is some sort of light cleaved through this album, though only a weak light can filter to the depth of the dark environment we are moving in. Last copy!!
Mick Milk – Half Lives LP+7'' (Anna Logue) 16,5€
The early 80's musical outlet of DIY-synth master and guitarist Mick M. from NYC. Mick recorded a few dozen of incredible tracks which cannot be described other than superbly creative in terms of using analogue synths for sound design and song arrangement in electronic pop. For this album, Anna Logue Records has carefully selected and compiled the 14 most obscure and electronic tracks from his demo tape Songs For Citizens and a batch of previously unreleased tracks from 1982-83. Mastered by Mick himself and another brilliant artwork by Steve Lippert.
Street Drinkers - Dead Secrets 12'' (Posh Isolation) 11€

Four tracks of cold and bitter post punk from this Swedish one-man endeavour. With Dead Secrets the project explores new territory and the drones of the past releases have been replaced with arrow-like drum machines and sharp riffs. The secrets are indeed dead and gone and what is left is the naked body alone, making it possible for the audience to witness every drop of blood and white body fluid pouring from the work.
Plastobeton / Glu – Split LP (Pouet! Schallplatten) 12€

Frank Alpine - s/t LP (Wierd) 15€

A frenzy of claustrophobic, danceable dread that skirts the line between outer-directed nihilistic aggression & fragrant introversion. Nocturnal synthesizers, isolated, frenetic, & monotonous, plot a destination either to somewhere new & uncertain, or perhaps to nowhere at all.
Xeno & Oaklander- Sets & Lights LP (Wierd) 15€
With this album, Xeno & Oaklander have split their attentions between two broad tempo brackets, the Techno/Electro, the sumptuous, layered synthetic sensuality, and the adrenal-triggers, or the spiky, uptempo moves they're better known for, the swooning, hollow cheek-boned control and the 100mph autobahn burn. Recommended!
Der Noir - A Dead Summer LP (Blood Rock) 15€

Der Noir is an Italian cold-wave trio formed in Rome in summer 2011 by the will to blend cold wave, dark pop, shoegaze and depressive atmospheres with a focus on vocal and guitar textures. A Dead Summer is their first full-length and you all wave&goth freaks better take a look and a listen to this!
Kinder Aus Asbest – Inside LP (Dödsdans) 13€

Following on from last year’s first album, Process Praise is the Native Cats at the hardest and heaviest they’ve ever been. The sound has expanded, but it’s still as lean and concise as ever, solid like a sensibly-packed suitcase. The tinny Casiotone beats of their debut have given way to deep drum machine menace; synths swoop and buzz at unexpected moments; bass riffs get meaner and more direct; words are sharpened and arranged for maximum damage.
Nothing People – Smells Like Metal LP (HBSP-2X) 15€

Blunted lof-fi Indie teetering between eerily seance like and distant/basement in a peculiar manner. With armfuls of analog reverbs, tape delays, busted rhythm machines, pedals, guitars and drums their music swerves between scuzzy and spaced-out, lethargic and prodding, all with an authentic swagger and clammy, cracked ceramic glaze finish. Coloured vinyl, gatefold jacket., includes download code!
Ensemble Economique - Crossing The Pass, By Torchlight LP (Dekorder) 13€
Muted drum machines, plastic-coated FM synthesizers and the kind of pedal reverbs you only find in Guitar Center for ten bucks are repurposed without even a hint of the kind of hypnagogic fetishism popularized by James Ferraro et al. Rather Pyle’s sounds become even more eerie for their strange familiarity, and like the suburban setting of Lynch’s ‘Blue Velvet’ you have the sense of something ominous hiding behind the preset brass stabs and marching band rhythms.
Maria Minerva - Sacred & Profane Love EP 12" (100% Silk) 15€
The latest Maria’s effort hypnotizes and catapults the free audience in an atmosphere that is seen as bedroom's disco. Dreamy and amplified atmospheres from her voice that plays on delay. His Electro Blue Voice - Dead Sons 12" (Brave Mysteries) 10€

Robedoor – Too Down To Die LP (Not Not Fun) 14€
A return to more psychedelic dronescapes, but not without change: the production levels are crisper and cleaner. A thick drifting morass of psychedelia of the modern kind. The perfect album for a Saturday night Apocalypse, and one of Robedoor's finest moments. Only one copy left, act now!
Mattress - Eldorado 12" (Malt Duck) 12€
An incredibly minimal, raw, and sometimes frantic record, yet it somehow creates a sense that hope can prevail even in the dire post-apocalyptic vision formed by its beats. This is definitely synth done raw – which is often times synth at its finest. Vocal styling is what makes this record unique though. The croony vocals, reminiscent of a gin guzzling lounge singer, reveal his true Vegas roots. Fav by Alex Zhang Hungtai from Dirty Beaches! Red vinyl!!
Bizarre Uproar - Viha & Kiima DigiCD (Freak Animal) 10€
One of the leading figures among Finnish noise. Their 2011 album is culmination of the current style. 4 long tracks of amplifier torment captured in rehearsal bunker. Journey To Ixtlan - Journey To Ixtlan DigiCD (Aurora Borealis) 10€

An anonymous badass rock band of desert dwellers who converge infrequently to render their physical surroundings in psychotropic sound. The second full-length by the Italian songwriter. Both when singing accompaining himself with sparse guitar notes or creating gentle psichedelic epicness with the effort of friends on violin, drums and other instruments, Rella prove to have learned the lesson well with an inspired album that speaks the language of blues and psichedelic folk.
